Former Social Security Administration Commissioner Martin O’Malley launched a scathing critique of former President Donald Trump and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk during a CNN interview on Tuesday. O’Malley referred to the two as “co-presidents” while expressing concerns about Musk’s involvement with the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE).
During the interview, CNN anchor Boris Sanchez questioned O’Malley about Musk’s claims that the SSA is making monthly payments to deceased individuals. O’Malley dismissed the assertion, calling it misleading and part of a broader effort to undermine trust in the agency.
“You’re laughing, but that is a concern that a lot of Americans have,” Sanchez noted in response to O’Malley’s reaction to Musk’s claims. “Is it a laughing matter?”
O’Malley remained firm in his stance, arguing that Musk’s interference in government operations, particularly in social security matters, posed a serious threat. He further criticized the influence of younger, inexperienced individuals working within Musk’s orbit, referring to them as “19-year-old nitwits.”
