During the month of November, men around the world ditch the clean-shaven look for a little bit of scruff.
The facial hair is mainly supportive of two initiatives: No-Shave November and Movember, two separate but similar causes that try to raise awareness for men's health with a strong focus on prostate and testicular cancer.
Prostate and testicular cancer are also a concern in dogs, especially those that have been neutered. Kerri Marshall, DVM, and Chief Veterinary Officer at Trupanion, a medical insurance provider for cats and dogs said that "the exact cause is still unknown, but studies have found that prostate cancer has been reported more in neutered dogs than intact dogs."
In hopes to help raise awareness for pet health, men's health and cancer, Trupanion unveiled their list of the top 10 bearded dog breeds.
