Samsung Galaxy S5 Active
Do smartphones break just a little too easy for you? Samsung is offering a possible fix with its new rugged smartphone, the Galaxy S5 Active.
Available on AT&T starting Friday, the Galaxy S5 Active is nearly identical, specs-wise, to the Galaxy S5 — it also sports a Full-HD AMOLED 5.1-inch screen, a 16-megapixel camera, heartbeat monitor, fingerprint sensor and water resistance.
The phone is powered by a 2.5Ghz, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, has 2GB of RAM and comes with 16GB of storage, expandable to 128GB via microSD memory cards.
The main difference between the S5 and the S5 Active is the latter's slightly bulkier, dust-proof and shock-resistant shell with bolts on the back. There's also a dedicated button on the side of the device which launches all your outdoor apps with a single click.
The color options include Camo Green, Titanium Grey and Ruby Red.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is available for $199.99 on a two-year contract.
